German brake and vehicle systems specialist Knorr-Bremse addressed three main themes at the IAA 2008 show - energy efficiency and emissions reduction, driving safety and global system competence - by showing a range of new products, technologies and capabilities. Needless to say, the subject of higher energy efficiency and lower emissions is a very popular one at the moment. Among Its various components available to help truck operators save fuel, Knorr-Bremse indicated the EAC electronic air control system, which integrates an air dryer, pressure regulator and multiple circuit protection valve into a single unit, thus combining pneumatic components with intelligent electronics.
