Direct Carbon Fuel Cell Technology Could Double Coal-Based Electricity Generation

More than half of the US electric energy generation today is based on coal combustion of net efficiencies of about 35%. And about 60% of the world's fossil reserves are coal, and of this amount 80% is located within China, former Soviet Union and North America.
