On March 8, the Technip and 'Samsung Heavy Industries consortium for the Prelude floating LNG project off the Northwest coast of Western Australia signed two contracts with Shell: One formalizes the announcement made by the group in October 2009 that Prelude Floating LNG is in the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase of development. The other specifies the terms under which the floating LNG facility would be built, if the final investment deci- sion for the project is made.
