BG Group considering stake in Indian LNG terminal

BG Group is eyeing a stake in one of the three upcoming LNG import terminals on India's west coast, Economic Times reported. The company looks to take a stake either in facilities planned at Mundra in Gujarat or one near Mumbai, or book capacities in existing terminals at Dahej and Hazira (both in Gujarat) or Dahbol in Maharashtra. "We are looking at regasification positions either in terms of equity or capacity reservations in LNG terminals," BG India President & Managing Director Shaken Sharms said. The company is in preliminary talks with "certain parties", but nothing has been finalized thus far.
