Origin raises funds for Australia Pacific LNG project

Australia's Origin Energy has raised US$646 million through the issue of seven-year medium-term notes, Platts reported. The funds will be used for development of Origin's Australia Pacific LNG project. The project is a joint venture of Origin (37.5 percent), ConocoPhillips (37.5 percent), and Sinopec (25 percent). The joint venture is spending US$23.7 billion on the project, which is a two-train coalseam gas-based LNG export plant on Curtis Island in Gladstone, on Australia's east coast.
