Jordan Cove gets dredging permit for Coos Bay

The state of Oregon has granted a dredge permit for the Port of Coos Bay, bnd.com reported Dec. 22. The 1-billion-cubic-foot-per-day Jordan Cove import project was expected to provide gas to markets in the Pacific Northwest, northern California and northern Nevada. However, backers now intend to liquefy and export stranded Canadian and U.S. gas to Asia.
