Ernst & Young: Canada must speed LNG

Canada must fast-track development of LNG export projects to compete with the likes of Australia, Russia and U.S. vying to supply fast-growing Asian markets, The Vancouver Sun reported May 10, citing a report from Ernst & Young (E&Y). Canada could have about 12 million tonnes (mt) of annual LNG-export capacity in place by 2015, but the senior manager of E&Y's oil and gas advisory practice, Lance Mort- lock, questions whether they will be able to "get those resources to the Asian market[s]" quick enough.
