Turkmenistan: LNG Part of Diversification

Turkmenistan's president Gurbanguly Berdimuhame-dow announced Jan. 11 that the country is nearing completion of a plan to diversify gas exports. "We need to build LNG plants and gas refineries... Transporting LNG does not require laying a pipeline and so it is easier to export in various directions," the president stated as reported by Oil&Gas Eurasia.
