DSME to Build Excelerate FSRU for Petrobras

Excelerate Energy announced Aug. 29 that it has executed a 15-year time charter agreement to provide a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to Petrobras. The vessel, designated by Petrobras as VT3, will deliver 20 million cubic meters (700 million cubic feet) of gas per day to the Southeast Region of Brazil. From July 2013 until the arrival of the VT3, Excelerate will supply its Energy Bridge Regas Vessel, Exquisite, to Guanabara Bay, expanding the terminal's delivery capacity from 14 to 20 million cubic meters per day.
