Abomasal displacement in cattle: the essentials of abomasopexy

All but 9 of 104 cases of left-sided abomasal displacement were treated successfully by fixing the abomasum to the abdominal wall by the bar suture method of K. E. Sterner & I Grymer (1982). There were 5 recurrences. The operation was unsuccessful in 15 complicated cases with a poor prognosis.
