The Evans family had been milking its high yielding Holstein herd three times a day in a 12-unit auto-tandem parlour at Treddiog Fach, near Mathry, Pembrokeshire, but staffing those milkings was a challenge both financially and physically.When that parlour was installed 12 years ago they had been milking 110 cows but numbers had steadily increased to the current 210.
