Eor the past three years the upward trend in farm rents has been gathering momentum, breaking the recent deadlock of downward or static rent reviews, and dairy holdings are leading the way with the largest rent rises of any sector in the agriculturalindustry. A recent survey by agents Strutt & Parker showed an average increase of 13.4% in farm rents to Michaelmas 1994, with those on the dairy farms rising the most, up by 19.3%. It covered 209 holdings, a total of 19,000ha.
