Keeping pace with efficiency

After 35 years of practical dairy farming, the vice president of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, Peter Price, still strives for more efficient milk production - a target, he says, it is impossible to achieve because the goal posts keepmoving. With new technology and changing markets he encourages farmers to 'milk' shows like the European Dairy Farming Event so they keep pace with developments and new ways of improving efficiency. Six months after graduating from Cambridge, and with two years' National Service and a year as a farm student at Bridget's EHF under his belt, Peter Price returned home to run Woodman Farms Estate at Avington near Winchester.
