At a recent beef seminar, Irish producers heard that if they want a market for their product, they must concentrate on winning back consumer confidence. As beef prices continued to tumble and consumer confi-1 dence in beef reached an all time low, Irish beef producers converged in Portlaoise last April to attend Beef 2000 - a conference looking at positive steps to stem thedeepening beef crisis.
