New steps have been taken by the MDC towards identifying areas where research and development (R&D) work ought to be taking place in order to help dairy farmers improve their efficiency and profitability according to R&D manager Kevin Bellamy (left).The first area in which MDC is inviting competitive tenders from research organisations is forage production. The purpose is to carry out a review of recent work, then recommend how new research could increase our knowledge of forage production and improve the way we use it.
