The politics of dairy farming don't get much better and, although we are now referred to as 'customers', the headline antics of our not-so-civil servants at RPA headquarters make for pretty grim reading. I wondered why I couldn't get through on theirtelephone lines. Piped music and a syrupy voice telling me that my call was important, but obviously not important enough to break away from their 'extra curricular' activities. This is top down mismanagement, and this particular buck shouldn't stop with agency staff parachuted in on short-term contracts.
