A new polyoxometalate-based 3D framework K_5Na[K _2{Dy(H_2O)_3}_2{As_2W _(19)O_(68)}{WO_2(pic)}_2] (1) (pic = 2-picolinate), composed of picolinate-functionalised dysprosium-containing tungstoarsenates and distorted potassium-picolinate cubane units, has been synthesised from the polyoxometalate precursor [As_2W _(19)O_(67)(H_2O)]~(14-).
