Plates for automotive industry and their surface treatment

An immense innovation pressure on plates for automotive industry in the last decade, use of lower thickness plates with higher strength properties in automotive industry, safer, economically more efficient and more ecological motor cars were outlined. The use of coated (especially galvanised) plates, increase of corrosion resistance and prolongation of car body service life as well as applications of new structural engineered solutions and production technologies of single car body parts are described.
