NGTL Transfer To NEB Jurisdiction To Take Effect April 29

Federal government regulation of TransCanada Pipeline Limited's Alberta system (NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd.) will become effective April 29. The National Energy Board has issued a certificate of public convenience under section 52 of the National Energy Board Act after the federal cabinet approved the change. The order also recognizes that the TransCanada Alberta system should be regulated under federal jurisdiction.
