Making Good On Genetic Goals

A strong focus on milk production has resulted in genetic gain for Jersey producers. Selecting genetics for your dairy herd can be as frustrating as picking one flavor for your cone at the ice cream shop. When you want a little bit of everything for your herd, it's difficult to pick just one or two traits. But, limiting the traits you select for provides you with the most opportunity to improve your genetics — especially when you select for milk production characteristics.
