Meat goats grow in popularity;prices descend from the sky

It was only a few years ago that Boer goats arrived on the scene in the US with great fanfare and at prices that went into the stratosphere. The prices promptly zoomed to many thousands of dollars leaving the average goat owner wondering what would happen next. A few jumped on the bandwagon hoping for big profits, but the prices did not hold and some lost money. Many people waited and watched and when the prices for good stock became approachable, bought stock and have been doing well.
