Spectra of two studied gases, oxygen and nitrogen, were investigated under various vacuum conditions during preparation of the discharge tube. The influence of the impurities on the spectral lines 777.4 and 844.7 nm, and atmospheric A-band in the case of oxygen discharge and on the second positive system of nitrogen molecule and the first negative system of ion N-2(+) in the case of nitrogen discharge was studied.
