Monitoring of climate change and energy turnaround Challenges for the land development in the funding period 2014 to 2020 using the example of Saxony-Anhalt

The climate change including its two aspects climate protection and adjustment to the climate change has a great significance in Saxony-Anhalt and especially in the Ministry for Agriculture and Environment. The disaster occurrences in the last years (e.g. the flood water in winter 2010/11, the dust storm including the sand deposition on the A9 in April 2011 and the extreme erosion activities in the administrative districts Mansfeld-Südharz, Salzlandkreis and Wittenberg in September 2011) gave reason to the federal state governmen t to attach even more importance to the climate change and the energy turnaround for sustainability. Based on the disaster occurrences focal points of activities concerning climate protection, erosion protection and energy turnaround for sustainability will be presented and corresponding consequences will be derived.
