Aminocyclophosphazene Derivatives of Tungsten Carbonyl

Reactions of aminated cyclotri- and cyclotetra-phosphazenes, viz., N_3P_3L_6 and N_4P_4L_8 (L = -NC_4H_8O, -NC_5H_(10), -HNC_6H_(11) and -HNC_8H_(17)) with W(CO)_6 have been studied. [N_3P_3L_6W(CO)_3] derivatives are obtained with N_3P_3L_6 while N_4P_4L_8 yield tetracarbonyl substituted derivatives, [N_4P_4L_8)W(CO)_4]. Mixed ligand tungsten tricarbonyls of the type [N_(12)H_8N_2)(N_3P_3L_6 or N_4P_4L_8) W(CO)_3] have also been synthesized with [(o-phen)W (CO)_4].
