Technical knowledge library for reconfiguration of manufacturing systems. Unforeseeable, surprising changes in the market cause changing requirements on the capacity and variety of processing machines of manufacturing systems. By reconfiguring manufacturing systems, there exists a possibility of reacting quickly and cheaply to these changed conditions. The effective use of the potential demands computerised tools that support the user in the planning and regular checking of reconfigurable manufacturing systems. This paper presents a configuration planning system.
