Agricultural soil protection in Germany - social requirements and legal provisions [German]

Soil protection has become increasingly important in recent years. This is reflected, not least, in the legal obligations imposed to this effect. In Germany, the federal soil protection act of 1998, which seeks to ensure the sustainability of the soil's functions, constitutes the central legal basis. Another legal pillar is the agrarian reform act of 2004. In addition to its provisions in respect of soil protection, this law creates the basis for greater progress in environmental and soil protection.
