Revamp,expansion and debottlenecking projects offer additional options for pump selection and upgrading to satisfy revised operating conditions.Such options,which are not available at the time of plant design,can offer substantial cost and time savings.Some of the possible options are listed in Table 1 along with the additional requirements that might be required for execution.Generating as many options as possible is important and is the first step.This is followed by selecting the option.
