摘要

In any modern chemical and petrochemical plant or refinery, hundreds, or even thousands, of variables such as flowrates, temperatures, pressures, levels, compositions, etc., are routinely measured and automatically recorded for performing material balances, process control, online optimization or process economic evaluation. Modern computers and data acquisition systems facilitate collecting and processing a great volume of data, often sampled with a frequency on the order of minutes or even seconds. The use of computers has greatly improved the process data accuracy. However, the increased amount of information can be exploited for further improving process data accuracy and consistency through systematic data checking and treatment.
