Targeted liquid injection improves shed deck performance

摘要

Targeted liquid injection from a secondary pumparound (PA) effectively compensated for a shed-deck vapor distribution problem in a fiuidized-bed coker. This case study shows how the installation of an unique piping and lance design achieved targeted liquid injection, quenched vapor hot zones and reduced resid entrainment into the heavy coker gasoil (HKGO) product.
