Queensland Gas Company announces 870 million dollars alliance with BC Group for LNG development

Queensland Gas Company (QGC) has announced an innovative LNG alliance with global energy company BG Group to build a world scale LNG plant on the Queensland Coast using QGC coal seam gas as feedstock. QGC Chairman Robert Bryan and Managing Director Richard Cottee said the two companies had committed to a long term alliance for the development of an LNG project producing 3 to 4 million tonnes per annum for the export market.
