Jharkhand Govt to Ensure more Availability of Coal

New Delhi: Union Minister of Coal Sriprakash Jaiswal has urged the Jharkhand government to bring all its allocated coal blocks in operation as early as possible to ensure more availability of coal. During a meeting with Arjun Munda, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Jaiswal said that the Centre may reconsider the de-allocation of two coal blocks to the state in view of special circumstances and reasons explained by the state for the delay. Munda, along with Hement Soren, Deputy Chief Minister of the state, and senior officials, called on the Coal Minister to discuss the issue of availability of coal and status of various coal mining projects in the state.
