Adaptable education

To meet the needs of students and their employers, two connected trends have emerged in the courses colleges offer -modularisation of courses and a greater use of distance learning. While the Government has been pushing its life-long learning agenda,many students are attracted to such courses for purely practical reasons. Rather than take a year or two out to study a subject intensively, many prefer to fit studying around work and family without the need to relocate.
