The UK horticulture market is becoming a less attractive trading arena for European plant suppliers. Rising transport costs and a poor exchange rate mean it has become harder to compete with UK suppliers on their own turf. Yet foreign imports still drive high interest among UK buyers at trade events such as the Glee exhibition in Birmingham and, in particular, the Four Oaks Trade Show in Cheshire.
