摘要

Metallurgical effects of TBM and LD converters operating in Katowice stellworks were compared. In order to eliminate steelmaking processes of different kinds of steel comparative analysis of TBM and LD technology for most frequently produced kinds i.e. RSt 37-2 was carried out. Steelmaking in Katowice stellworks carried out during 2000 year was analysed. It was found that TBM process relative to LD one is characterized by following advantages: lower final carbon, sulfur, phosphor, oxygen and nitrogen content in steel, lower FeO content in slag, smaller oxygen consumption, less additional correction blowing, smaller pig iron, slag-making materials, deoxidizers and ferroalloys consumption.
