Statistic evaluation of surface and internal defects occurrence recorded by crack detection device for round bars from billet rolling mill in TZ, a.s.

The article specifies the equipment of the crack detection device for round bars used in the plant TZ Billet rolling mill, a.s. and it summarizes further statistically worked up operating results of the device as for surface and inside defects in the period of July 2001 till June 2002. The greatest attention of the article is drawn to relations among the maximum allowable depth of the surface defects, the tested dimension, the quality and kind of the charge material by the surface defects and the reshaping grade and quality by the inside defects.
