Renewable diesel is produced from a mixture of waste fat and vegetable oil obtained from the food industry, using a specialized oil refining process. The refining process efficiently converts vegetable oil into fuels such as gasoline, diesel and propane. In this regard, Neste Oil, a Finnish oil and refining company has introduced NExBTL, a second generation bio-diesel that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
