The master gardener program 1972-2005.

摘要

The Master Gardener (MG) programme trains cooperative extension volunteers to teach horticulture in their communities. The MG has become one of the most widely recognized extension programmes, existing in 50 states in the USA. This paper looks at the programme from a national perspective and includes a historical review, a description of the programme and volunteers, their community work and impact, and concludes by discussing future challenges.
