摘要

As a hospice nurse working in home care in a busy suburban area, I am accustomed to being asked to do extra visits at a moment's notice. However, I was not thrilled when I received a call from my supervisor late on a Friday afternoon that an emergency admission visit was needed for our team. At this point at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday, I had already seen five patients-and I knew it would be a long day with documentation. Still, as I have done in the past, I said, "yes of course" I would do this admission, not letting my supervisor know any hint of my frustration.
