摘要

An overview on concepts, technologies and capabilities for all scales of optical communications, especially the WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technologies is given in this paper. We conclude the latest approach of applying optical links from long-haul to short-haul as well as on-board optical communications. Tunable optical filter with tuning range of record value, complex-coupled organic/inorganic hybrid VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser), and novel optical interconnectors are also introduced.
