Mary is survival garden

When my friends ask me about my garden, I tell them my garden is no showcase — it is a survival garden. It must survive the deer, insects and drought! This year I had some real winning combinations and success stories that I thought I would share. Ilive on three rural acres in zone 5 of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and my winter delight is my stand-alone 8' x 14' greenhouse. I love to start plants by seed in my greenhouse, and like most of you, I start every New Year looking through seed catalogs. Ihighlight "drought resistant" plants and am particularly drawn to the new AAS (All American Selections) and Fleuroselect winners of the year.
