摘要

Histopathological studies were carried out in the root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita infested tomato roots to observe the effect of four Pseudomonas fluorescens isolates. Root galls and giant cells were very less in tomato roots treated with all the four P. fluorescens isolates whereas large galls and giant cells were observed in untreated control plants. Since the bacteria are endophytic, it induces systemic resistance in plants against the infection by M. incognita. The possibility of biological protection of the plants by P. fluorescens against M. incognita is discussed.
