2006 was certainly an All-American year for the Hardesty family. If you haven't noticed already, there's four animals nominated either Junior All-American or All-American that carry the Harvue prefix (Harvue Rave Noleen (EX-91), nominated All-American4-Year-Old; Harvue Roy Frosty (VG-89), nominated All-American Sr. 2-Year-Old; Harvue Roy Bethie (VG-88), nominated All-American Jr. 2-Year-Old; and Harvue Durham Eclipse, nominated Junior All-American Jr. 3-Year-Old). In addition, the dam of the nominated All-American Summer Yearling, River-cross Rubens Annika, is Harvue Encore (EX-91). "Well, we've certainly had an exciting year," a soft-spoken David Hardesty explains. "We feel as though we're breeding cattle that can compete very well at the state level. But beyond that, we don't have the time to get them really ready for the big time shows. We find it's just as exciting to see other people do well with animals that carry our prefix and provide added exposure to the cow families that we're working with at home. We're really happy for them, and I take my hat off to all those guys who put so much time and effort into getting them ready!"
