Biota's long acting neuraminidase inhibitor for influenza CS8958,co-owned with Daiichi-Sankyo,enters Phase II clinical trials in Japan.The trial will assess safety and efficacy against a fever resolution end point in adults with naturally acquired influenza A or B after a single,inhaled dose of CS8958.CS8958 is a second-generation anti-influenza product intended to be a once-only treatment or to give a once-weekly prophylactic protection from influenza.
