Sir. In December 2009, Mayr et ah reported a study comparing a new dual-colour chromogenic in-situ hybridization (CISH) method for the Her-2eu onco-gene in breast cancer with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH).We report a similar study in our institution, using Dako DuoCISH on tissue microarrays (TMAs) of breast cancer cases. One hundred and forty-seven consecutive cases of breast carcinoma were retrospectively selected from the files of the Departments of Pathology, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland.
