摘要

AIRCRAFT giant Airbus has been handed a ?200,000 fine following the death of a 71-year-old man who fell nearly five metres at a Concorde exhibition in Bristol. Horace Livall was standing on a gantry, preparing to take a photo of his daughter, when he fell through a 0.8m gap between the gantry and the plane's fuselage in September 2004. He suffered serious head and chest injuries and died in hospital. The exhibition, run by aviation preservation charity Bristol Aero Collection (BAC), had opened at Filton Airport the previous month, offering visitors the chance to tour the decommissioned Concorde 216.
