One in three premises still breaching Fire Safety Order

More than one third of non-residential premises audited by fire and rescue authorities (FRAs) last year were not fully compliant with the 2005 Fire Safety Order (FSO), according to the latest government audit statistics. FRAs, which are responsible for enforcing the order, audited 39,700 non-residential premises in 2013-14, representing around 3% of premises known to authorities.
