Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002

The latest revision of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations lay out a number of obligations with regards to training. As a wide range of people now have the potential to be exposed to asbestos - particularly workers involved in building maintenance - the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations introduces a duty on those responsible for commercial premises to manage the asbestos contained in them, and to ensure that employees receive the necessary training. Training requirements affect ail employees who may be affected by work activities; the regulations governing information, instruction and training also extend to other people on the premises where the work is being carried out.
