Ontario Plans to Shy Away from E-10

Ontario's government will no longer seek to increase the ethanol content in gasoline from 5%, to 10%, various reports confirmed recently. Instead, Ontario wants to create a low carbon fuel standard that will lower the carbon footprint for all vehicles by 10% by 2020. Government leaders pointed to rapidly advancing technologies in the automotive field as one of the reasons for not seeking an increase in ethanol blending.
