RETAIL GASOLINE FALLS BELOW 2.50/GAL

The average U.S. retail gasoline price continued its consistent decline during the week ending Oct. 31. The price of gasoline fell 12.3 c/gal, to 2.48/gal, after losing 12.2 c/gal and 12.3 c/gal the previous two weeks, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). All together, gasoline values dropped 45 c/gal over the past four weeks. But despite recent losses, the current average price is still 22% higher than the year-ago price.
