Although U.S. retail gasoline prices were at their nominal highest in February, U.S. gasoline demand actually grew 1.7% from February 2007 to February 2008, the American Petroleum Institute said in its monthly statistics release. Total U.S. motor gasoline disposition climbed in February year-on-year from 9 million b/d to 9.2 million b/d, with finished reformulated gasoline disposition increasing 9.3% over the same period.
